Engineering Lead

About the Role

Lead a hands-on engineering team building an AI context platform for a collaborative data and analytics product. The team is developing ways for people to understand, improve, and manage the context that helps AI agents deliver better results.

What You'll Do

• Lead the engineering team responsible for the context platform.

• Set technical strategy, review designs, and contribute directly to implementation.

• Manage and support engineers, set a high bar, and help them do their best work.

• Recruit and help grow an exceptional engineering team.

What We're Looking For

• At least 6 years of full-stack software engineering experience, including 2 or more years as an engineering manager.

• Experience managing teams of 3 to 15 individual contributor engineers.

• Recent hands-on experience building or working on an agentic or AI-native product.

• Proficiency in TypeScript, ideally with React and Postgres, and experience with Python.

• Experience in a high-growth startup environment and strong computer science fundamentals, supported by a CS or equivalent technical degree.

• Ability to work from an office in San Francisco or New York twice a week.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $221,000 to $295,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

Hybrid, with the primary location in San Francisco, California. The role requires in-office work twice a week.
