Engineering Lead

About the Role

Lead the engineering team building a context platform for an AI-powered data and analytics product. The platform helps users understand how AI agents work with their data, identify quality issues, and improve the context that supports better outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Lead the team responsible for the context platform and its technical direction.

• Set technical strategy, review designs, and contribute hands-on to engineering work.

• Manage and support engineers, set a high bar, and help them do their best work.

• Recruit strong engineering talent for the team.

What We're Looking For

• At least 6 years of full-stack software engineering experience, including 2 or more years managing engineering teams of 3 to 15 individual contributors.

• Recent hands-on experience building an agentic or AI-native product, not solely using AI tools in day-to-day work.

• Proficiency in TypeScript; experience with React, PostgreSQL, and Python is valuable.

• Experience leading engineering for a technical product and working in a high-growth startup environment.

• Background outside primarily mobile, infrastructure, or analytics specializations, with sustained experience in prior roles.

• Experience with modular products for technical users, such as data tools or developer tooling, is helpful.

• A computer science degree or equivalent technical education.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $221,000 to $295,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

Hybrid, based in San Francisco, California, or New York, New York. The team works from the office twice a week.
