The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 where appropriate.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the English National Curriculum.
• Encourage students to develop a passion for reading, writing, communication and literature.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and extracurricular opportunities.
  
  
  

The Ideal Candidate

You will have:

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd or equivalent) with QTS or equivalent.
• A degree in English or a closely related subject.
• A strong understanding of the English National Curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for inspiring young people to achieve their full potential.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
