Job Description
Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join their Enviro Socio Permitting team in Florida. The successful candidate will support field work and reporting for projects across various sectors, including energy, rail, and infrastructure. This role requires collaboration with a team of specialists while managing multiple projects and deadlines. The position offers a hybrid work structure, allowing for both remote and office work as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or a similar environmental discipline
- 2+ years of experience conducting environmental field work and completing associated reporting
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive reports and permit applications
- Experience using GPS field technology
- Proficiency in ArcGIS or ArcPro is preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in environmental survey field efforts, including ecological surveys and environmental site assessments
- Collect field data using handheld GPS units and tablets with relevant software
- Prepare technical reports, work plans, and other environmental documents
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Manage multiple tasks and meet deliverable deadlines
