Introduction
Fab1 Reliability team is a multinational team, with members from various places of the world with experience in state of the art reliability methodologies, technology qualification & product monitoring.
We are seeking an experienced RRAM Reliability Engineer to support the development, qualification, and production deployment of advanced embedded Resistive RAM (RRAM) technologies. The successful candidate will define and execute reliability qualification strategies, investigate failure mechanisms, develop reliability models, and work closely with integration, device, process, product engineering, and customer teams to ensure robust RRAM solutions for automotive, industrial, and IoT applications.
Your Job
Reliability Qualification & Assessment
Develop and execute RRAM technology qualification plans.
Design and execute reliability stress tests including:
Endurance
Data retention
Read disturb
Write disturb
High-temperature operating life (HTOL)
TDDB and related dielectric reliability evaluations
Develop lifetime prediction and reliability models using statistical techniques.
Support customer reliability assessments and qualification deliverables.
Define reliability requirements and qualification criteria for new RRAM products and technology nodes.
Establish screening and monitoring methodologies for RRAM manufacturing.
Failure Analysis & Root Cause Investigation
Investigate RRAM failure mechanisms and switching degradation behavior.
Lead root-cause analysis activities involving electrical, physical, and material characterization.
Correlate device performance with process, integration, and material variations.
Drive corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability margins.
Technology Development Support
Collaborate with FEOL, BEOL, integration, device, modeling, and manufacturing teams.
Support optimization of RRAM switching conditions and operating windows.
Evaluate new material stacks, dopants, and process changes for reliability impact.
Required Qualifications
Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Microelectronics, or related discipline.
5+ years of semiconductor NVM reliability experience.
Direct experience with:
RRAM / ReRAM
Embedded NVM technologies
MRAM, PCM, or other emerging memory technologies
Knowledge of:
Switching mechanisms and conductive filament physics
Retention, endurance, and variability behavior
Understanding of algorithm impact on RRAM forming-, erase-, and program operation and how it subsequently impacts the different reliability mechanisms
Automotive qualification requirements (AEC-Q100, JEDEC)
Programming skills in Python, VBA, or advanced statistical tools.
