What You’ll Do As our Facility Director (also known as Director of Facilities or Facilities Manager ), you will lead all day-to-day campus operations for a prestigious boarding school in Chatham, VA. You will oversee a team of maintenance, janitorial, and landscaping staff, direct third-party contractors, and manage capital projects. Key responsibilities Leading and holding accountable a dedicated team handling maintenance, housekeeping, and landscaping. Serving as the primary mechanical expert troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues. Communicating proactively with campus leadership and ensuring prompt follow-through on all work orders and projects. Managing seasonal operations, including campus snow removal and special event prep. What You Bring To The Team Strong hands-on technical background in mechanical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing). Demonstrated capability to direct, motivate, and hold a multidisciplinary team accountable. Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
