We're looking for a hands-on, solution-oriented Field Service Technician with 3–5 years of mechanical experience who enjoys troubleshooting complex problems, working independently, and building strong customer relationships.
Reporting to the Road Service Foreman, you'll be the go-to expert in your territory, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Merlo telescopic handlers directly at customer sites. - Troubleshoot complex problems using diagnostic tools, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
- Perform on-site maintenance and repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Explain technical issues and recommended repairs clearly to customers, building trust through professional service.
- Plan service calls, manage repair priorities, and ensure work is completed efficiently.
- Identify required parts, coordinate orders, and complete service and warranty documentation accurately.
- Represent Manulift with professionalism and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience as a heavy equipment, heavy-duty, construction equipment, or road service mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic skills in electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- A customer-focused mindset and the communication skills to explain technical issues in simple terms.
- A self-starter who is organized, resourceful, and comfortable working independently in the field.
- Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record.
- Relevant mechanical diploma or equivalent hands-on experience.
Strong asset: Valid Ontario trade certification in 310T (Truck and Coach Technician), 421A (Heavy Duty Equipment Technician), or 310S (Automotive Service Technician).

- 24/7 TELUS Health telemedicine services, available from day one.
- Group insurance premiums covered 75% by the employer after 3 months.
- Invest in your future with a group RRSP and employer contributions of up to 5% after 6 months.
- An annual fitness allowance of $150, increasing to $300 after 3 years.
- A strong team and recognition culture, with team activities, recognition events, and family days.
- The right tools to succeed: a $1,000 tool allowance for mechanics.
- Mileage reimbursement for work-related travel.
