Forward Deployed AI Engineer

About the Role

Join a customer-facing engineering team building AI solutions for the insurance industry. You will work with enterprise customers to understand their workflows, develop and deploy automations quickly, and turn successful implementations into improvements to the broader platform.

What You'll Do

• Own customer implementations from requirements gathering through deployment.

• Scope business problems with enterprise customers and build technical solutions after the sale.

• Develop and ship AI agents and workflow automations, often within the same week as customer conversations.

• Integrate reusable customer solutions into the platform and collaborate with product and engineering teams on scalable features.

• Balance customer communication and technical execution, with a mix of hands-on coding and customer-facing scoping.

What We're Looking For

• Three to six years of software engineering, implementation, solutions, forward deployed, or product engineering experience.

• Experience working directly with customers after a sale to scope problems, build solutions, and deliver them quickly.

• Full-stack development skills, with proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.

• Experience at a venture-backed startup or in software consulting, as well as experience building for enterprise customers.

• Strong academic background and ability to take ownership in a fast-moving environment.

• Production experience with AI or machine learning automations, agentic workflows, or LLM integrations is a plus.

• Insurance or financial services experience is helpful.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $180,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
