This role is being recruited by CoffeeSpace on behalf of an anonymous high-growth startup building an AI-powered operating system for the electronic components supply chain.

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Compensation: $165K - $190K base + competitive equity

Employment type: Full-time

Visa: Visa sponsorship available; J1 (intern/training) visa sponsored with conversion path to O1 visa. OPT candidates welcome. US-based candidates preferred but UK-based candidates also considered.

About the company

This company is building the operating system for the $3 trillion electronic components supply chain. It processes live production data from legacy ERP systems for customers doing over $100 million in annual revenue. The team is small but growing, with a current size of 5 and $4 million in funding from investors including Wischoff Ventures, Liquid 2, Stage 2, Rebellion VC, and Entrepreneur First.

The founding team is highly experienced, with the CTO having been the first AI hire at an a16z-backed startup, and the co-founder possessing a deep background in manufacturing.

About the role

As a Founding Engineer, you will join as the third engineer and work directly with the CTO. You will own entire product streams from day one and build the data infrastructure that powers pricing intelligence for some of the world's largest distributors.

What You’ll Do

• Build and harden robust data pipelines that process live production data from legacy ERP systems

• Own product streams end-to-end, from customer conversations to shipped features

• Deploy and customize data ingestion tools across multiple customers

• Communicate directly with non-technical customers to learn the industry and gather requirements

• Contribute to AI agent development and LLM-powered data ingestion

The Ideal Candidate

• 1-5 years of experience in software development

• Proficient in Python, TypeScript, SQL, .NET, AI Agent SDKs, Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex

• Comfortable working with legacy ERP systems and non-technical customers
