CrewRobotics is building the data infrastructure for AI robots deployed in industry. We collect data from a wide range of industries across Japan.

We're a team of serial entrepreneurs who sold our previous voice-AI agent company last year. Our strength is moving fast, and we're on track to have 10,000 devices running in Japan within the next year. We're now looking for engineers to build the pipelines that process this massive volume of data — and to develop the products that will come next.

What we're focused on

Our core focus is maximizing the return on investment that companies with existing operations on the ground get by deploying AI robots. Most of these companies don't have deep technical expertise, and we expect a growing number of vendors will try to push whatever robots they can sell. We want to be the opposite: a partner that helps these companies make the best possible investment. We believe that's where the greatest long-term value lies.

To do that, we've started with a service that both pays these companies and helps them build up their data. Our clients today are AI robotics companies, but our future customers are the companies that own the operations themselves. We want to build a team that can create and deliver products for them.

Why we're starting in Japan

Japan has an enormous number of companies, especially in manufacturing — but very few startups. For example, Japan produces about as many cars as the US, yet has roughly 1/60th the number of startups. That lets us focus intensely on working closely with customers and building great products.

The deal:

• $65k–$130k + equity

• Based in Tokyo

• Full visa sponsorship + relocation support

What we're looking for

Experience with robot learning or VLMs is a plus, but we care more about sharing our vision and being able to commit than about experience alone. You'll love this if you've built something 0→1, you ship fast (and yes, with AI tools), and you want ownership over comfort.
