About Suna

We want people to experience their healthiest bodies, on their own terms.

To do that, we're closing the data gap that exists in wearables today, gut health and nutrition.

Suna is a wellness wearable for your gut. It listens to your gut around the clock, through sound, and turns what it hears into something you can read every morning. Think of it as the Fitbit for your gut and nutrition. On top of it sits the Oracle, a personal health agent. It joins what the patch hears to the context of your life, what you ate, your calendar, the weather, your email, and talks to you where you already are, on WhatsApp or iMessage. We are a small founding team in London and San Francisco, and we build the device, the models and the app ourselves.

The role

You turn raw signals from the body into things people can read and act on. The hard, unsolved centre of the company.

You may own

• The full modelling pipeline: messy real-world sensor data in, readable insight out.
• Signal processing on continuous physiological data.
• Models that run on-device and on the backend, and the judgement of what goes where.
• How we validate that what we tell people is actually true. Rigour is the product.
• The context behind the models. What the agent knows about a person, how it remembers, and the harness that feeds it the right things at the right time. Good context and good memory are most of the product.

You'll fit if

• As strong at the unglamorous parts (labelling, cleaning, validation) as at the modelling.
• Scientific honesty when the easy path is an impressive-looking demo.
• Experience training with physiology data
• Up to date understanding of AI, context, the world around us.

Nice to have

• Wearable or physiological sensor data
• Physiology or biosignals background
• Models in production
• Papers with code, Kaggle

How we work

Full-time, in person.

Salary plus equity.

We work a lot (including weekends) and it will never be a strict 9-to-5.

- No prior interest in health and health tech.

- You are high maintenance.

- You hop jobs. It is a red flag for us.

- You chase big names and vanity metrics over the mission.

- You want a strict 9-to-5. This will never be that.
