Founding Product Engineer

About the Role

Join a small engineering team building AI coding agents and software for financial research workflows. As the first engineering hire, you will help mature the core product and work directly with customers to turn their research needs into dependable tools.

What You'll Do

• Build and improve coding agents that create custom data pipelines, web scrapers, and dashboards for financial research customers.

• Manage remote development environments and infrastructure used for customer deployments.

• Speak with customers to understand their research goals and deliver tailored software solutions.

• Take features from initial design and scoping through implementation and delivery.

• Develop agent skills, tool libraries, and scaffolding that expand the platform's capabilities.

What We're Looking For

• Two to four years of full-stack product engineering experience, with a track record of shipping products end to end across frontend, backend, and data.

• Experience building with Python, React, SQL, LLMs, and agent frameworks.

• A CS or STEM degree from a highly selective university in the United States or Canada, with strong software engineering fundamentals.

• Experience building LLM-powered applications or coding agents, and data pipelines using web scraping, APIs, and ETL for structured or unstructured sources.

• Customer-facing engineering experience translating requirements into shipped products is valuable.

• Experience in finance, investing, or financial data products is useful, as are substantial projects, open-source contributions, or technical writing.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary is $165,000 to $210,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
