Founding Research Scientist Biology

Our mission: eradicate Type 1 diabetes.

GloGlo is building an AI-native therapeutics company based in San Francisco. We are developing AI research agents that analyze scientific literature and biological datasets, generate and challenge hypotheses, design experiments, and learn from wet-lab results.**
We are building a tight in silico <> in vitro / in vivo feedback loop to identify better targets and move faster toward new therapies.\
We are looking for a Founding Research Scientist in Biology** to help build our experimental research program from the ground up. This is a hands-on startup role: you will move quickly between scientific questions, experimental design, wet-lab work, data analysis, and decisions about what to test next.

What you’ll do

• Turn biological questions and AI-generated hypotheses into rigorous experiments
• Design and execute in vitro studies and help develop in vivo programs
• Analyze results and feed experimental evidence back into our AI systems
• Develop assays, models, and experimental workflows from scratch
• Help prioritize targets and therapeutic approaches
• Build our early wet-lab capabilities and scientific partnerships
• Work directly with the founders and scientific leadership

What we’re looking for

• PhD or equivalent research experience in immunology, autoimmunity, T1D, beta-cell biology, cell biology, molecular biology, or related fields
• Strong hands-on wet-lab experience
• Ability to independently design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment
• Excited about combining AI and experimental biology
• High scientific rigor, curiosity, and willingness to challenge assumptions

One of our founders has lived with Type 1 diabetes for 17 years. We intend to work on this until we solve it.
