Full-Stack Engineer – Product & Data

You ship constantly, including side projects nobody asked you to build. Build an app that saves busy parents time.

A seed-stage fintech in San Francisco runs the payment rails behind education-funding programs in the US. This seat owns the app families use, on mobile and web: receipts, claims, reimbursements and statements. The users aren't technical, so success means time saved, not time spent in the app. That makes your judgment on UX and the data model the deciding factor.

They're hiring 2 full-stack engineers.

What you'll own

• The family-facing mobile and web app, end to end
• The data model behind receipts, claims, reimbursements and statements
• Fast product iteration based on how families actually use it
• Real autonomy from day one

Must-haves

• A builder with a spike in data modeling and a real eye for product and UX (not a PM, not backend-only)
• You ship all the time, including side projects you built because you wanted them to exist
• A standout personal achievement you're proud of
• Genuine enthusiasm for the mission
• 0–5 years of experience; no degree needed if you've built something impressive
• In person in San Francisco, 9-9-5

Bonus points

• Apps or side projects with real users (send the links)
• A fellowship, a competition win, or a business you started young
• A data model you designed and how it held up as usage grew
• A personal connection to education

What's in it for you

• $130k–$180k base + 0.6–0.7% equity

• Process: intro call with a founder → technical deep-dive → optional call with the head of the family experience → take-home plus whiteboard → paid on-site work trial → offer
