Join a diverse team of innovators, collaborators, and creative thinkers today. South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH) is seeking a gastroenterologist to join a group of seven. Subspecialties include General Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Respirology, and Intensive Care. SSRH offers echocardiography, exercise stress testing with nuclear imaging and dobutamine stress testing, pacemaker insertion and follow up, endoscopy (therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy), PFTs and a Sleep Lab. There is a Cardiac Rehab Clinic managed by a Nurse Practitioner in collaboration with Internal Medicine Physicians. SSRH is a community site for the Internal Medicine program at Dalhousie University with approximately 6-7 residents per year. This provides an opportunity to work as a preceptor with medical students & residents. Incumbent is expected to participate in the call schedule for ICU and IM as well as provide outpatient care appropriate to their subspecialty. Call covers the SSRH along with offering advice and transferring patients from the nearby Fishermen's Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg and Queen's General Hospital in Liverpool.
