ROLE SUMMARY

As the General Medicines, Commercial Director, Specialty Brands, you will play a pivotal role in PAVE (Portfolio Alternative Value Enablement) as the lead for the actively promoted Specialty brands, driving strategies that enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the advancement of healthcare solutions. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of our products, ensuring they reach those in need and improve their quality of life.

This role reports to the PAVE, General Medicines Vice President. You will continue to advance the first-in-industry partnership model, providing steady, dedicated commercial leadership for these brands as part of the broader PAVE team.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive commercial strategy for promoted specialty brands within the PAVE portfolio. This should be anchored in customer insight, clear performance targets, and the realities of the specialty care market.
  • As brand steward, act as the connector and catalyst across functions—aligning teams, clarifying decisions, and removing roadblocks to keep promoted specialty brands moving.
  • Lead and evolve the first-in-industry partnership approach for specialty brands, aligning internal and external stakeholders to unlock new value for patients and for the business.
  • Stand up and continuously strengthen operational partnership efforts for Somavert & Eucrisa, ensuring the model scales effectively as a permanent capability.
  • Manage day-to-day engagement with the 3rd-party partner supporting Somavert & Eucrisa—setting expectations, ensuring quality, and keeping delivery on track.
  • Guide externalized content development end-to-end, including MLR—ensuring HCP and patient materials including patient adherence programs are on strategy, compliant, and delivered when the business needs them.
  • Liaise with internal cross-functional teams as appropriate to ensure appropriate brand support levels, including medical, patient support, market access and digital.
  • Partner with legacy business units to navigate collaborative ways of working for seamless customer experiences.
  • Identify and quantify new commercial opportunities, turning insights into prioritized plays, clear action plans, and coordinated execution to enable achievement of brand goals.
  • Partner with supply colleagues to ensure that demand forecasts are aligned with product availability.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform tactical adjustments.
  • Solve complex problems, propose innovative solutions, and recommend strategies that shape brand decisions.
  • Plug into the broader PAVE community to share learnings, standardize what works, and drive smart simplification and efficiency opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Show up as a visible, trusted leader—bringing strong judgment, crisp storytelling, and high standards that raise the performance of the Somavert & Eucrisa business.
  • Act as a key contributor whose work and evaluations are integral to the business's success.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A BA/BS with at least 8 years of experience, an MBA/MS with at least 7 years of experience, a PhD/JD with at least 5 years of experience, or an MD/DVM with at least 4 years of experience is required for this role.
  • US brand management and marketing experience.
  • Proven track record in pharmaceutical commercial strategy development.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent project management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in market analysis and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Expertise in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
  • Proficiency in using GCMA for review and approval of promotional materials.
  • Comfort and openness to using AI tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience with Somavert, Eucrisa, or other rare disease / specialty care brands.
  • Familiarity with specialty pharmacy programs and/ or specialty pharmacy retailers
  • Working experience in partnering on patient services, access and affordability platforms
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of patient-centric approaches in healthcare.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilience and adaptability in challenging situations.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $176,600.00 to $294,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
