Job Description: Assignment Location: Çine, Turkey The Global Graduate Programme – A Fast-Track to Leadership The Sibelco Global Graduate Programme is a two-year rotational programme consisting of two one-year assignments in key operational and commercial roles. Participants gain hands-on experience with real business projects, ensuring early responsibility and exposure to strategic decision-making. Participants receive a permanent contract from the start, ensuring long-term career prospects within Sibelco. As part of this programme, we are recruiting a Geology & Hydrogeology Engineer – Graduate Programme for a one-year assignment focused on supporting mine safety, geotechnical and hydrogeological assessment, and mining optimization at the Çine Cluster in Turkey in our Alipaşa-Sarıkısık Ocakları installation. Graduates must also be open to spending their second year in a different cluster outside their initial region to gain international or regional business exposure. Your Impact in This Role Support the update of geotechnical and hydrogeological models using the latest site data and studies Review existing geotechnical and hydrogeological reports and identify key data gaps and risks Analyse groundwater levels and trends and assess their potential impact on mine stability and safety Contribute to the evaluation of slope angles, pit geometry and stripping ratio scenarios Assess opportunities to optimize mining operations and reduce overburden while maintaining safe mining conditions Support the implementation and follow-up of automated groundwater monitoring systems Contribute to hydrogeological audits and subsequent geotechnical assessments Develop cost-benefit analyses and business cases for water management and mining optimization opportunities Prepare technical analyses, reports and presentations for site management and senior stakeholders Work closely with geology, mining, operations and external technical experts to translate technical findings into practical recommendations What You Bring to the Table Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Interest in geotechnical engineering, hydrogeology, mining operations and mine planning Ability to analyse technical data and translate findings into practical recommendations Strong interest in modelling, scenario analysis and data-driven decision-making Good understanding of geological, hydrogeological or geotechnical principles Strong communication and reporting skills Fluent English communication skills Willingness to travel as required by the assignment Valid driving licence Openness to international/regional mobility during year two Our Selection Process Application Submission – CV & Cover/Motivation Letter First Interview – Initial screening and motivation discussion Business Case Study – Real-world problem-solving challenge Panel Interview – Final interview with key stakeholders Assessment – Evaluation of key competencies Why Join Us?
