Global Social Media Manager, TikTok (all genders)

THE ROLE & THE TEAM We want to be the most culturally fluent brand on social media in Europe, and we're looking for a Global Social Media Manager, TikTok to help us achieve that. You'll join our Global Social Media team and bring Zalando's TikTok channel to life day to day, creating and publishing content that feels native to the platform, jumping on trends at the right moment, and building a consistent, distinctive presence in a space that moves fast. In this role, you will drive the day-to-day editorial execution for our TikTok platform and serve as our key internal and external subject matter expert for platform insights. While overarching strategy is done collaboratively, you will take operational ownership of creative output, day-to-day channel health, and organic performance. While TikTok is your primary home, as a well-rounded social expert, you will possess broader platform expertise and a passion for supporting our wider team across Meta, Pinterest, YouTube, and Snapchat. Across our primary social platforms, we reach a combined audience of over 15 million followers. You'll report to the Global Social Media Team Lead and work closely with the Senior Global Social Media Manager, who together set the broader strategic direction, while you own hands-on execution: ideating formats, producing content, managing the posting rhythm, and steering our global social media agency to make sure output stays sharp, on-brand, and on trend. Find out more about our Marketing & Communications team: https://jobs.zalando.com/en/what-we-do/marketing-and-communications WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING) Editorial Execution & Channel Management: Collaborate with the Senior Manager to implement TikTok’s editorial strategy, taking daily responsibility for organic view growth, channel health, and performance tracking. Content Creation & Execution: Develop, produce, and publish TikTok content end to end, from concept, scripting, and filming to editing and posting, experimenting with native formats rather than recycling platform content. Independently create and manage content by attending events, shooting, and editing without supervision for publishing Platform & Industry Expertise: Serve as our go-to TikTok expert, staying on top of algorithm updates, features, and trends, while managing operational relationships with platform representatives. Culture Expert : Keep a genuine pulse on pop culture and what's happening online, spotting what's relevant early and translating it into content that feels true to our brand Community Strategy: Implement and oversee a strong community management strategy to foster audience engagement and platform loyalty. Media & Performance Alignment: Set operational channel KPIs, manage day-to-day budgets, track reporting, and work hand-in-hand with Brand Media to ensure paid media amplifies organic efforts. Agency & Stakeholder Steering: Steer our global social media agency across always-on content and production, briefing them, reviewing output, and maintaining quality while coordinating cross-functional partners (Brand, Creative, PR). Influencer Collaborations: Manage TikTok-focused creator collaborations from outreach and briefing through to final execution. Cross-Platform Support: Serve as a full all-rounder by sharing platform expertise and supporting the wider team across Meta, Pinterest, YouTube, and Snapchat when needed. Collaborate with the wider Global Social Media team, working closely with verticals such as Streetwear and Beauty to keep content connected and consistent across the brand Projects : Own projects end to end, coordinating internal stakeholders (Brand, Creative, PR) and external partners (agencies, creators) to keep everything on track and on brand WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF You have 2-4 years of experience and deep expertise across TikTok, Meta, Pinterest, YouTube, and Snapchat, with a proven ability to manage content on set and during events. You are highly skilled in essential tools like CapCut or Premiere, Canva, Dash Social, and TikTok Ads Manager. You possess a sharp eye for art direction and a creative mindset that stays ahead of pop culture to help shape our brand narrative. You balance creative instincts with a rigorous, data-driven approach to tracking channel health, organic growth, and performance. You act as a connector between internal teams and external partners, ensuring project consistency and alignment across the brand. You have a proven track record of running successful projects and influencer collaborations, ideally within a fashion, lifestyle, or agency environment. You are collaborative and comfortable working independently, taking initiative without being asked, and are willing to travel frequently for productions.
