GNC/AOCS Engineer for Space Missions Are you looking for an innovative and consolidated place for your professional development? The position is centred in the activities of Space Mission Analysis, and GNC/AOCS design, development, verification and validation, at its premises in Lisbon, Portugal. The successful candidate will be introduced into a dynamic and cooperative team and is expected to share the same passion for the space field as our GNC team. For this particular position, the candidate will be initially inserted in the GNC division in the Future Missions section where he/she will have the opportunity to: • Work on mission design phases of real ESA missions performing GNC subsystem design, mission analysis, trajectory design, and feasibility studies. • Design, Development, Verification & Validation of Navigation, Guidance, and Control algorithms for ESA missions. • Work on the definition of ground operational timeline and study of the respective navigation performance (orbit determination) and their impact on the mission feasibility or required GNC autonomy. • Development of mission analysis, feasibility studies, and analysis tools for ESA. WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM? The candidate shall possess the eagerness and motivation to learn and develop inside the organization working with some of the leading experts in space field at the European level, mostly but not exclusively, in projects for the European Space Agency (ESA). We require the following to be considered for this role: MSc in Aerospace Engineering or similar field. Fluency in written and oral English. You'll be even more successful in this role, if you can bring knowledge and experience in the following areas: Any number of years previous working experience in the field Astrodynamics, orbital and attitude mechanics.
