• Location: Ballasalla, Isle of Man
• Salary: £27,000 – £32,000 DOE + Bonus + Relocation Assistance
• Contract: Full-Time

We're recruiting a Graduate QC Chemist on behalf of an established business operating within a regulated manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Chemistry or Science graduate looking to begin their career in a hands-on laboratory role, gaining valuable experience in analytical testing, quality control and microbiology.

The business offers relocation assistance and has a strong track record of supporting new employees moving to the island, helping them settle into both their new role and surroundings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished products
• Support routine laboratory analysis using HPLC and other analytical techniques
• Assist with microbiological testing and environmental monitoring
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and test documentation
• Support laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance
• Assist with quality investigations and continuous improvement activities
• Follow laboratory procedures, quality standards and health and safety requirements

About You:

• Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science or a related scientific discipline
• Some practical laboratory experience gained through university studies, placements or employment
• Exposure to HPLC, including sample preparation, chromatography and analytical data interpretation, would be advantageous
• Knowledge of microbiological testing, aseptic techniques or environmental monitoring would be beneficial
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Good organisational skills and a willingness to learn
• An interest in developing a career within Quality Control and regulated manufacturing

Previous industry experience is not essential. We're looking for someone with a strong scientific foundation, a positive attitude and the enthusiasm to develop their technical skills.
