An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, Health Courier Services (HCS), for a Band 4 HCS Supervisor / Team Leader to join our South East operational management team.
The successful candidate will be based at Greenvale Laundry, Cwmbran, providing day-to-day supervisory support to our specialist HGV laundry transport operation.
The role has a wider operational remit, supporting the supervision and management of HGV operations, vehicles and staff across Greenvale Laundry and EGHL, while also providing supervisory support and resilience to the HGV operation at IP5 when required.
This is a varied, hands-on role requiring a visible and proactive management presence, with responsibilities including staff supervision and welfare, operational performance, training and compliance, fleet management and service continuity.
The post holder may occasionally be required to undertake HGV driving duties. Applicants must therefore hold a current Category C (HGV) driving licence and valid Driver CPC.
Normal working hours are 06:00–14:00, although flexibility will be required to meet operational needs.

Key responsibilities will include staff supervision and support; coordination of day-to-day HGV transport operations; monitoring service delivery and operational performance; supporting staff attendance, wellbeing and performance; maintaining training and compliance standards; and supporting the effective management and availability of vehicles and operational resources.
