Datamentors is building the next generation of autonomous robotics through a combination of advanced AI, robotics, and proprietary Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models. ROLE OVERVIEW

Lead and scale Datamentors' engineering organisation, ensuring our teams, technical foundations and ways of working enable us to deliver ambitious autonomous robotics products. You will own engineering execution across teams, develop engineering leaders, maintain a high technical bar and work closely with the CEO and wider leadership team to align engineering priorities with company and product goals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead, mentor and scale the engineering organisation, developing engineering managers, technical leads and senior engineers
• Own engineering execution across teams, translating company and product priorities into clear plans with strong quality, reliability and performance
• Set and continuously improve engineering standards, development practices, delivery processes and technical quality
• Partner with senior engineers on architecture, technical debt, reliability, scalability and complex cross-team technical decisions
• Work closely with Product, AI, Robotics and Factory teams to remove blockers and deliver integrated capabilities end to end

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Significant experience leading engineering teams building complex, technically demanding products
• Proven experience building and scaling high-performing engineering organisations and developing engineering leaders
• Strong technical background with the ability to engage credibly in architecture, infrastructure and complex technical decisions
• Hands-on experience leading engineering for hardware products — such as robotics, embedded systems, electronics or mechatronics — taking hardware from prototype through to manufacturing
• Track record of improving engineering execution, quality and delivery while balancing short-term priorities with long-term technical investment
• Excellent communication and product judgement, with the ability to create alignment across Engineering, Product and company leadership

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, AI/ML, computer vision, real-time systems or embedded software
• Experience taking complex technology from development into reliable production and scaled deployment
