Job Description:
They are seeking a strategic and innovative Director of Information Technology to lead their technology vision and align resources with our academic and administrative goals. This role involves strategic planning, policy development, IT infrastructure management, and integrating technology into educational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic IT Planning:
Develop and implement IT strategies that support the school's educational objectives. Assess and plan for future technology needs and improvements.
Infrastructure Management:
Maintain and secure IT infrastructure, ensuring robust cyber security measures.
Technology Integration:
Collaborate with staff to integrate technology in curricula and administrative operations. Evaluate and implement new educational technologies.
IT Policy Development:
Formulate IT policies to promote efficient and secure technology use. Keep abreast of industry best practices and compliance requirements.
Budget Management
: Manage the IT budget effectively; negotiate with vendors for cost-efficient technology solutions.
Team Leadership:
Lead the IT team of 15 staff, promote a collaborative environment, and facilitate professional development.
Project Management:
Oversee IT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely completion.
User Support and Training:
Provide timely IT support and training to enhance the technological skills of students and staff.
Data Management:
Manage school data, ensuring accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
System Administration:
Oversee system maintenance; ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution of technical issues.
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor KPIs to evaluate IT service effectiveness, and report findings to leadership.
Innovation and Research:
Stay updated with emerging technologies, spearhead initiatives to enhance educational outcomes.
Knowledge:
Comprehensive understanding of web systems architecture, design, and development.
Technologies to be used:
Web systems architecture, design and development tools, cybersecurity solutions, project management software
Skills:
Expertise in project management, negotiation, and vendor management.
Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.

Qualifications:
Engineering Graduate/Post Graduate.
Relevant certifications
15+ years of experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role.
