Position: Head of Lab & Pathology Location: Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar Governorate, Iraq Contract Details: Full Time, Permanent We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Lab and Pathology for a reputed client in IRAQ, who is dedicated to providing high-quality medical services to the local community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory and pathology services, with excellent leadership and management skills. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory and pathology department, ensuring that all services are delivered efficiently and accurately. Manage and lead a team of laboratory and pathology staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure accurate and reliable test results. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those set by the Ministry of Health. Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory and pathology equipment. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of necessary supplies and resources. Collaborate with other department heads to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care. Stay up-to-date with advancements in laboratory and pathology technology and techniques, and implement new processes and procedures as needed. Prepare and manage the laboratory and pathology department's budget. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Pathology, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in a laboratory and pathology of which 3 years in management role. Extensive knowledge of laboratory and pathology procedures, equipment, and regulations. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in the use of laboratory and pathology software and systems.
