HireStakes is partnering with an innovative, technology-led organisation to appoint a Head of Product to join its leadership team in Sofia.

This is a high-impact role for an experienced product leader who thrives at the intersection of Product, Engineering, R&D and AI.

Based alongside the business and R&D teams in Sofia, you will take ownership of the strategy and roadmap for a sophisticated technology platform, lead the Product team day to day, and help define what modern product management looks like in an environment where AI plays an increasingly significant role in the build process.

This isn't a role for someone operating at arm's length from technology. We're looking for a Product leader who has worked directly alongside engineering teams, understands the technical product development lifecycle, and is comfortable getting close to the detail while maintaining strategic ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive the overall product strategy, vision and roadmap.
• Lead and develop the Product function and team on a day-to-day basis.
• Work closely with the Chief Product Officer, Engineering and R&D teams.
• Translate commercial and business objectives into clear product priorities.
• Define and evolve product management processes within an AI-driven development environment.
• Work directly with technical teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Ensure strong alignment between Product, Engineering, R&D and the wider business.
• Drive prioritisation and decision-making across complex product initiatives.
• Establish scalable product processes and ways of working as the organisation continues to grow.
• Balance strategic leadership with a willingness to remain close to product delivery and technical execution.

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience in senior Product leadership roles within a technology-led organisation.
• A strong track record of owning product strategy and roadmaps for complex technology platforms or products.
• Deep experience working directly and collaboratively with Engineering and R&D teams.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end software/product development lifecycle.
• Experience building, improving or scaling Product functions, processes and ways of working.
• Comfortable operating within highly technical environments and engaging with engineering teams at a detailed level.
• Strong understanding of how AI is changing product development and delivery, with an interest in shaping AI-enabled ways of working.
• Commercially minded with the ability to connect product decisions to wider business objectives.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience within sportsbook, sports betting or iGaming would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Location

This role is based in Sofia, Bulgaria, working alongside the core business and R&D teams.

Relocation support is available for the right candidate.

Package

A senior leadership package at international market rates is available, alongside equity participation.
