Roles like this just don't come around very often.

We've partnered with an AI stealth mode startup that's building a product that solves a critical problem that we've all faced at least once in our life.

That problem is the painfully slow, manual legal processes behind some of life's biggest transactions.

This isn't another generic LLM wrapper - they're building AI agents that actually perform the legal work including: navigating complex processes, making decisions, interacting with data and handing work back to humans when judgement is required.

Following a huge seed round led by one of the absolute best European VC's, they're now looking for a Head of Engineering to take ownership of the entire technical function.

You'll own:

🧠 Architecture and technical direction

🛠 The platform and engineering roadmap

👥 Building the engineering team

🤖 Production AI/LLM systems

💻 A significant amount of hands-on development

This is not a management-heavy Head of Engineering role.

The team is one that you'll build out from scratch so you'll be expected to write difficult parts of the system yourself, make major architectural decisions and build the foundations the company could be running on for years.

We're looking for someone who:

→ Is a seriously strong full-stack engineer

→ Has built products 0→1 rather than only scaling established systems

→ Has strong architecture and systems-design instincts

→ Ideally has shipped LLM/AI systems into production and understands the difference between a great demo and a reliable production system

→ Wants huge ownership rather than layers of process and management

There's very little scaffolding here. No giant platform team. No army of engineers to delegate to.

You'll be one of the people actually building the company.

If things go well, the natural progression from this role is CTO as the engineering organisation grows.
