Head of Systems – Humanoid Robotics

Location: Munich (onsite)

Compensation: Salary + Bonus + Equity + (Relocation Package if needed)

Edison Smart is partnered with a European humanoid robotics start-up that has just come out of stealth.

The role

You’ll own how the whole robot works as one machine: architecture, sensing, actuation, compute and safety. You’ll lead the software, systems engineering and robot architecture teams and work directly with the founders.

What you’ll bring

• Industry experience on legged humanoid robots, ideally at more than one company.
• 10+ years in robotics: dynamics, control, kinematics and mechatronic system design.
• Fluency across mechanical, electrical and software trade-offs.
• Experience leading teams and owning roadmaps in a real engineering organisation.
• Bonus: learning-based control and functional safety (ISO 13849, IEC 61508, ISO 25785).
