About Testudo Testudo is leading the formation of a new insurance category, AI Insurance. We have recently launched our generative AI liability insurance product as Lloyd's Coverholder with the backing of three Lloyd's syndicates. The Role We are hiring a high agency Head of US Distribution to lead our mission-critical distribution strategy and producer relationships. This is a rare opportunity to be at the forefront of creating lasting distribution pipelines for a new major category of risk. We offer a zero-politics, high-trust environment (we hate bureaucracy) . You'll have end-to-end ownership of the distribution strategy, direct access to producers, and the mandate to move fast. Location: New York or London. What You’ll Do You will develop a comprehensive distribution and go-to-market strategy from zero to one for our generative AI liability insurance policy (and future products!) across US wholesale and retail producers. You will source, convert, and grow US wholesale and retail producer relationships to drive GWP growth and increase market reach. You will actively seek producer feedback and work as a bridge between our engineering and underwriting teams to improve distribution velocity and experience. You will work with our founders and engineers to create engaging producer tools to empower them to distribute our product and lead the generative AI risk conversation. You will work with our general counsel to create producer education materials across media channels for this new risk category. You will establish best-in-class analytics frameworks to monitor producer performance. As the portfolio grows, you will build high-performing distribution teams that deliver exceptional returns. You Might Be a Fit If You Have a deep network of decision makers at wholesale and retail producers across all major US insurance hubs. In short, you probably already play padel, or crunch a golf ball off the tee with the producer’s decision makers. You have a proven track record of building new distribution pipelines and relationships for specialist MGAs or Lloyd’s Coverholders for niche P&C products sold on an excess and surplus lines basis. You are genuinely interested in a new category of AI risk. You enjoy improving distribution flows by working with engineers to make our beloved producers' experience feel effortless. You enjoy meeting producers and partners face-to-face across the United States. Which means you probably also like flying! You Might Not Be a Fit If You Do not have the high agency required to set up distribution pipelines from scratch. Have no experience in setting up producer relationships for new and niche P&C insurance products. Have not led a distribution team or strategy for a specialist MGA or Lloyd’s Coverholder. Are not interested in the new category of AI risk. You do not maintain the required US P&C & surplus lines licensure. Do not enjoy working in startup environments with extreme urgency and context shifting. Compensation + Benefits Negotiable compensation subject to bonus structure and/or equity.
