As we prepare to recommence production, we're seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Training Superintendent to lead the site's HST function and play a key role in establishing the systems, capability and culture that will support the operation for years to come. Core Lithium's long-term vision is to build a residential workforce within the Darwin community. About the Opportunity Reporting to the General Manager Operations, with functional support from the Corporate HSEC Manager, this role will lead the site's Health, Safety and Training function across the Finniss operation. As a member of the site leadership team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the processing plant, open pit mining and developing underground operation. Working alongside operational leaders, you will help shape the site's health, safety and training framework while driving continuous improvement as the operation transitions through restart into steady-state production. The role will lead a small HST team comprising two Senior Health, Safety & Training Advisors and the site's Medical Emergency Services Officers (MESOs), while also providing oversight of emergency response capability, contractor safety management and workforce competency. This is a permanent, full-time residential role based in Darwin, working a Monday to Friday roster, with relocation assistance available for the successful candidate. Key Responsibilities Lead the Health, Safety & Training function across the Finniss operation. Develop, implement and continuously improve HST systems, standards, procedures and governance. Provide leadership, coaching and support to the HST team, building capability across the function. Partner with operational leaders to embed a proactive and high-performing safety culture. Oversee workforce competency, training strategies and compliance across the owner-operated processing plant and site support functions. Provide governance and support for contractor onboarding, contractor management and operational risk. Lead incident management, investigations, auditing and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and strengthen emergency response capability and preparedness across site. Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and company requirements. About You You are an experienced HST leader who enjoys building teams, improving systems and partnering with operational leaders to deliver safe, high-performing workplaces. You will bring: Significant leadership experience in Health, Safety and Training within mining or another high-risk heavy industry. Demonstrated experience leading HST teams and developing organisational capability. Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation, mining regulations and risk management principles. Experience developing and improving HST management systems, procedures and governance frameworks. Experience supporting contractor management within operational environments. Knowledge of emergency response management and incident investigation processes. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) and relevant WHS qualifications. Exposure to underground mining operations will be highly regarded.
