Show job description
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join North West Glasgow’s committed and innovative Locality Children’s Services Team. The successful postholder will be responsible for delivering the Universal Pathway for all children within a designated caseload. Working as an autonomous practitioner, the Health Visitor will practise within the legal and ethical framework of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and relevant national legislation. The role includes overall responsibility for the management and supervision of a health visiting caseload, ensuring high-quality care through robust assessment, referral and communication processes, and the delivery of evidence-based interventions. The postholder will also provide clinical leadership, support wider health visitor caseloads when required, and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency partners to address wider public health priorities.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) may be able to provide visa sponsorship for certain roles, subject to the post meeting the relevant eligibility criteria. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and will be determined on a case-by-case basis following interview and during the pre-employment verification process. Applicants must state their current right to work in their application.
