Job Summary: As a Physician in an affiliated medical practice, provides medical services to patients in an assigned area. Job Description: MaineGeneral Health is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Hepatologist to join our thriving Gastroenterology practice at the Thayer Center for Health in Waterville, Maine . This outpatient-only position involves joining a dynamic GI team consisting of 5 GI physicians and 10 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients throughout the vibrant Kennebec Valley region, this role is ideal for those seeking a rewarding practice with a desirable work-life balance. Responsibilities: Provide expert outpatient consultation, diagnosis, management, and treatment of liver diseases, including hepatitis, cirrhosis, liver cancer, fatty liver disease, and liver failure. Collaborate closely with our established team of gastroenterologists and advanced practice providers to deliver comprehensive, integrated patient care. Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results pertinent to hepatology practice. Educate patients and their families on disease management, lifestyle changes, and preventive health strategies related to liver health. Practice Highlights: No Call Required: No weekend or holiday hours; strictly outpatient practice. Predictable Schedule: 36 clinical patient-care hours per week and 4 hours reserved for administrative duties.
