Curriculum Overview Teachers follow a structured curriculum using rigid textbooks while having the flexibility to employ engaging teaching methods. • Focus on developing English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills • Emphasis on English cultural awareness and critical thinking • Subject-specific instruction for Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Social Studies • Participation in teaching research activities and professional development • Use of dynamic methods to stimulate student interest and learning All instruction is delivered in English, and teachers are expected to contribute to curriculum resource development. Position Overview The high school teacher is responsible for delivering subject-specific lessons, preparing tests, assigning and correcting homework, and providing student support. Teachers in senior high school subject positions also complete self-study counseling twice weekly. The role includes classroom management, parent communication, and participation in school-wide activities. Working Hours • Monday to Friday • 8:00 – 12:00 and 14:00 – 18:00 • Maximum 25 lessons per week (40-45 minutes each) • Senior high school subject teachers: self-study counseling twice weekly from 19:00 – 21:30 Class Structure • Class size: Standard high school class • Student age: 15 – 18 • Teaching team per class: o Lead Teacher Requirements • Native English speaker • Bachelor or master degree related to subject (English, Literature, Education, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Social Studies, or equivalent) • Minimum 3 years high school full-time teaching experience • Clean health and criminal background check to obtain Chinese Z work visa • Passion for education with sound professional ethics and exemplary conduct as an educator • PGCE or State Teacher Certification required for higher salary tier (25K-27K) Benefits • Salary: 23,000 – 25,000 RMB/month before tax (3+ years experience) OR 25,000 – 27,000 RMB/month before tax (3+ years experience + PGCE/State Teacher Certification) • Housing allowance • Flight reimbursement • Winter and summer vacation with vacation pay • Chinese health insurance provided • Legal Z work visa sponsorship and application assistance • Teaching and living support for entire contract duration • Opportunities to participate in textbook selection and teaching resource development Attachments High School PCJD.docx Download
