Seeking BC/BE GI Hospitalists to deliver comprehensive inpatient gastroenterology care, including performing procedures such as colonoscopy, biopsy, endoscopy, PEG placement, and liver or hemorrhoidal banding. The role involves consulting on inpatient cases, supporting residents and medical students through teaching, and participating in an academic environment affiliated with a university's internal medicine residency and subspecialty fellowship programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultative GI services on the inpatient service.
- Perform various general GI procedures.
- Support the academic mission through teaching and mentoring.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
- Strong procedural skills and clinical expertise in GI care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Provide high-quality inpatient GI care with strong practitioner support.
- Participate in teaching residents and medical students.
- Engage in clinical procedures with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
