Red Chair Recruitment are recruiting a General Manager for one of our clients, a gorgeous hotel nestled in the scenic beauty of Connemara County Galway. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior hospitality professional to take responsibility for the full operational management of an established hotel and lead its next chapter of growth and excellence. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring an outstanding guest experience.
- Lead and manage the Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Leisure Centre and Front Desk teams.
- Lead, support and develop department heads and staff to achieve high performance standards.
- Drive revenue growth, cost control and profitability across all departments.
- Monitor key financial and operational performance metrics and implement improvements where required.
- Ensure revenue management and sales targets are effectively supported across the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of service, efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure all property maintenance, statutory and operational obligations are completed.
- Represent the hotel at marketing, sales, industry and local events.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, licensing and employment regulations.
- Develop effective recruitment, training and staff development strategies.
- Work closely with the hotel board to deliver business and operational objectives.
Requirements
- Significant senior hospitality management experience across multiple hotel departments.
- Previous General Manager experience is advantageous.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Knowledge of health, safety, licensing and employment regulations.
- Familiarity with Connemara and a passion for local tourism is an advantage.
