Scope of Job:
Ensuring and overseeing that Merlin HSS policies and procedures are implemented across the resort. Completing self-audits to ensure Merlin HSS systems are in place.
-To design, deploy, manage, and monitor a suitable and sufficient Health, Safety & Security (HSS) program across LEGOLAND Korea Resort (LLKR).
-To provide proactive, visible, and progressive functional leadership of the HSS agenda/program to LLKR.
-To embed HSS as a core value in LLKR to deliver robust HSS standards, performance, and a sustainable safety culture.
-To ensure effective governance and assurance of HSS in LLKR, particularly with regards to engineering activities and ride operations.
-As a member of LLKR’s leadership team, actively participate in and contribute towards all areas of the business.
-Lead Korean Serious Accident Punishment Act, 2021 (SAPA) and Korean Occupational Safety and Health Act and its regulation compliance planning, implementation, and performance review.
Key Objectives:
-To formulate, develop and monitor the implementation of HSS policies, systems, procedures and standards for existing activities and any new operations within LLKR to ensure effective safety management.
-Lead Korean Serious Accident Punishment Act, 2021 (SAPA) and Korean Occupational Safety and Health Act and its regulation compliance planning, implementation, and performance review.
-Actively focuses on the safety standards and operational procedures required to ensure robust risk control in the Technical Services, Park Operations, Hotel Operations, F&B and Retails Services.
-To ensure that effective HSS planning for LLKR is undertaken and includes realistic short and long-term objectives approach to determine priorities and establish performance standards.
-To proactively identify, design and successfully deploy HSS related initiatives and programs within LLKR that will deliver leading edge HSS standards, performance, and culture.
-To robustly audit and uphold exacting standards in HSS. Ensure a blended audit and inspection program is developed and deployed.
-To establish and maintain procedures for the reporting, investigation, recording and analysis of injury accidents, dangerous occurrences, near miss incidents and work-related ill health.
-To provide detailed and balanced HSS performance analysis and reports for LLKR, in a timely manner.

Qualifications
-Proven experience in Health, Safety & Security (HSS), Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management, or related fields
-Demonstrated leadership experience in safety management within large-scale operations, resorts, theme parks, hotels, manufacturing environments, or similar industries
-Strong understanding of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act (SAPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), including regulatory compliance requirements
-Experience in risk assessments, incident investigations, safety audits, and developing a strong safety culture
-Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
-Proven leadership and people management experience
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience within theme parks, resorts, hotels, or large-scale mixed-use facilities
-Experience implementing and managing ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems
-Understanding of international health and safety standards and best practices
-Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
