Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership & Culture: Partner with senior management to design and execute HR strategy, workforce planning, and organizational development. Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture while driving key growth initiatives across a multi-jurisdictional workforce.
  • End-to-End Payroll & C&B Management: Oversee and execute full-cycle payroll operations, benefits administration, and compensation/reward programs, ensuring accurate, timely processing and regulatory compliance across operating regions.
  • Comprehensive Employee Lifecycle & Talent Operations: Lead global talent acquisition, onboarding, internal mobility, promotions, performance management, and offboarding. Oversee visa sponsorship and immigration processes as required.
  • Employee Relations & Organizational Growth: Act as the primary advisor on employee relations, conflict resolution, career development, and leadership capability. Drive strategies that retain top talent and successfully guide the firm.
  • Learning & Development: Design and implement tailored L&D programs to enhance workforce skills, foster leadership potential, and align talent development with business objectives.
  • HR Governance, Systems & Compliance: Develop and maintain robust HR policies, procedures, HRIS data, and employee records. Ensure strict adherence to regional employment laws, regulatory frameworks, internal audit requirements, and due diligence activities.
  • Workforce Analytics & Insights: Deliver actionable HR reporting, workforce metrics, and data-backed insights to senior leadership to inform business decisions and support regulatory reviews.


Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes

  • Experience: 9+ years of broad HR generalist experience, including managerial or leading role
  • Industry Expertise: Experience within financial services, asset management, or a similar high-performance industry where human capital is the primary asset. Demonstrated experience navigating organizational growth past the 50-person benchmark is highly advantageous.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Compliance & Legal Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Hong Kong employment law and HR regulatory requirements (knowledge of Australian/Singapore employment law is a distinct advantage).
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience managing payroll processes and HR operations. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Language: Native-level written and spoken English skills.
  • Proactive Leadership & Ownership: Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of initiating, driving, and executing standalone HR initiatives with a strong ownership mindset.
  • Precision & Detail-Orientation: Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional accuracy in execution (especially regarding payroll and policy administration), and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Agility & Multi-Tasking: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing competing deadlines and changing priorities with composure and adaptability.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building trusted relationships across all levels of senior management and international teams.
  • Integrity & Judgement: Demonstrates the highest standards of discretion, ethical conduct, professional integrity, and sound judgment when managing confidential workforce matters.
