RSA is seeking an experienced and practical Human Resources Manager to lead our HR function supporting a workforce of 160+ employees. This Part-Time role offers the opportunity to influence people, culture and workforce strategy across the organisation.
Based in our Stones Corner office, this is a hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with our CFO, HR team, leadership team, project managers, supervisors and employees to build a high-performing workforce and positive workplace culture.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Partner with the leadership team to provide strategic HR advice and contribute to workforce planning initiatives.
- Lead recruitment and talent acquisition activities to support business needs.
- Drive employee development, succession planning, engagement and retention initiatives.
- Provide practical HR advice and support to managers, supervisors and employees.
- Manage employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, awards and workplace relations obligations through effective HR policies, procedures and documentation.
- Support remuneration reviews, workforce reporting and key HR metrics.
- Support injury management and return-to-work programs.
What You'll Bring
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations, Employment Relations or a related discipline are preferred.
- Demonstrated experience as a Human Resources Manager or in a senior HR leadership role, with the ability to balance people outcomes and business needs.
- Experience within civil construction, construction, mining, engineering, infrastructure or a similar operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, modern awards and workplace relations.
- Proven experience managing employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes.
- Strong recruitment, workforce planning and talent management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
- Ability to work independently and build effective relationships across site-based, remote and office-based teams.
- Experience with HR information systems and payroll platforms.
- Experience with visa sponsorship, migration processes and labour agreements is highly regarded.
