This is a hands-on HR leadership role supporting a high-volume, fast-paced operational environment. The HR Manager will serve as a strategic partner to site leadership while also staying close to day-to-day HR execution, employee relations, compliance, workforce planning, and team development. The right person will bring strong judgment, confidence, and credibility. This role requires someone who can sit at the leadership table, advise plant and operational leaders, handle complex employee relations matters, and lead an HR team in a demanding manufacturing environment. This is a strong opportunity for an HR leader who enjoys building structure, improving processes, supporting frontline operations, and helping stabilize and strengthen a growing site. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary HR leader and business partner for a large manufacturing site. Partner with site leadership to support workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, organizational design, and employee engagement. Lead, coach, and develop HR team members while ensuring strong day-to-day HR support across the site. Provide guidance to leaders and employees on HR policies, employment practices, compliance requirements, and workplace concerns. Lead or support employee relations investigations, corrective actions, performance issues, and conflict resolution. Support recruiting, onboarding, training, benefits communication, compensation processes, transfers, promotions, terminations, and other HR transactions. Establish, improve, and maintain HR processes, procedures, and best practices for the site. Partner with corporate HR resources and business leaders to support broader HR initiatives and company goals. Prepare and deliver employee communications related to HR programs, policies, benefits, compensation, and organizational updates. Track, analyze, and report on HR metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Monitor employment law updates, industry trends, and compliance requirements relevant to the site. Maintain confidentiality and operate with a high level of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment. Support HR projects and initiatives at the site and broader organizational level. Required Qualifications 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience. Prior experience leading, managing, or mentoring HR professionals. Strong employee relations experience, including investigations, corrective actions, and performance management. Experience supporting a manufacturing, industrial, logistics, distribution, or high-volume operational environment. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Proven ability to advise leaders and influence decision-making. Strong project management, follow-up, and execution skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting large hourly employee populations. Experience in high-volume manufacturing or automotive-style production environments. Master's degree in a related field. HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP. Experience supporting plant start-up, site stabilization, rapid growth, or major operational change. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a practical, confident HR leader who can balance strategy with execution. This person should be comfortable working in a plant environment, partnering with operational leaders, and handling complex people issues with urgency and professionalism. This role is best suited for someone who is collaborative, direct, resilient, and comfortable having tough conversations. The team needs a leader who can build credibility quickly, support a demanding workforce, and help create consistency in a high-volume environment. The right fit will not be overly corporate or hands-off. This person needs to be visible, engaged, and willing to get close to the business. Why This Opportunity This is a meaningful HR leadership opportunity with a growing manufacturing organization. The role offers strong visibility, the ability to influence site culture, and the chance to build and strengthen HR support in a critical operating environment. The company offers competitive compensation, bonus opportunity, strong benefits, and relocation support for the right candidate.
