Company Description Bay Immigration Law is a full-service immigration firm on a mission to help talented people, and the businesses that need them, build their future in the United States. Our clients are scientists, artists, athletes, executives, entrepreneurs and companies of every size, and we stay with them from their first visa all the way to their citizenship. Our London office is young, growing fast and already 40+ people strong. We're looking for an experienced attorney to help grow its U.S. practice, serving companies and individuals across the UK and Europe who are making the move to the U.S.
Role Description You will join our growing London team, running your own caseload with real autonomy and helping shape how the office develops. You will advise clients on the best U.S. route for their goals, lead complex O-1, EB-1 and EB-2 NIW matters, and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals. You will take regular business trips to our Dallas and Chicago offices to work with the wider team.
What you will do
• Lead O-1, EB-1 and EB-2 NIW matters from strategy to approval, with limited supervision
• Advise UK and European founders and companies on U.S. options, including L-1, E-2, H-1B and EB-3
• Draft and review petitions, legal briefs and RFE/NOID responses
• Hold strategy consultations and be the trusted point of contact for our clients
• Mentor associates and paralegals and review their work
• Help build the London practice: client events, partnerships with accelerators, VCs and relocation firms, and content
• Contribute to better processes and use of legal technology
• Take regular business trips to our Dallas and Chicago offices for team time and training
What you bring
• J.D. (or equivalent) and active bar admission in good standing in any U.S. state or D.C. (UK solicitor qualification not required)
• 3–5 years of U.S. business immigration experience, with strong O-1, EB-1 and/or EB-2 NIW experience
• Working knowledge of L-1, E-2, H-1B and EB-3
• Excellent legal writing and the confidence to advise clients directly
• Experience guiding paralegals or junior attorneys
• Entrepreneurial mindset: you want to help build something new
• Right to work in the UK (UK visa sponsorship is available for prospective candidates)
• Nice to have: tech or start-up clients, European languages, a network in the London start-up scene
What we offer
• Competitive salary plus performance bonus
• Hybrid work from our London office
• Paid business trips to our Dallas and Chicago offices
• A key role in a young, fast-growing office, with a path to Senior Attorney and leadership in London
• International clients and a close, collaborative team across two continents
