About the Role:

Client’s Battery Manufacturing Engineering Department is hiring an Industrial Engineer to drive battery manufacturing operations, capital projects, production readiness, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

• System Design: Analyze production requirements, optimize material/staffing flow, and design equipment layouts.
• Capacity Planning: Conduct cycle-time studies, bottleneck analyses, line balancing, and labor modeling.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead Kaizen activities to reduce waste and use structured problem-solving (PDCA/A3) for root-cause fixes.
• Data Analytics: Build KPIs, dashboards, and analytical models to convert production data into prioritized actions.
• Project Execution: Coordinate equipment installation, commissioning, trials, and cross-functional readiness tracking.
• Standards & Documentation: Author and maintain controlled Production Engineering standards, process maps, and technical training guides.

What You Bring (Must Haves)

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years in industrial/manufacturing engineering supporting high-volume, automated production.
• IE Toolkit: Hands-on experience with capacity planning, time studies, line balancing, and facility layouts.
• Technical Writing: Proven track record authoring complex engineering standards, procedures, manuals, or playbooks.
• Data & Tools: Advanced Excel skills; ability to build transparent analytical models and translate data into clear executive summaries.
• Ownership: Strong cross-functional project coordination and comfortable working on the active manufacturing plant floor.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred)

• Automotive, battery cell/pack, clean room, or dry room manufacturing experience.
• Experience with greenfield startups, equipment commissioning, or production launches.
• Tech skills: Power BI, SQL, Python, Minitab, Tableau, or discrete-event simulation (FlexSim/AnyLogic).
• Expertise Standardized work, Kaizen, PDCA, A3, TBP.
