Job Title: Information Security Analyst
Location: San Antonio, TX
Contract Length: 12 Months
Pay: $40–$45/hr W2
Position Summary
Responsible for partnering with application, infrastructure, cloud, and platform teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate SSH key, certificate, and machine identity risks across the enterprise.
This role focuses on driving certificate and SSH remediation activities, improving ownership accountability, reducing cryptographic risk, and accelerating adoption of enterprise certificate management standards and tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead remediation efforts for SSH keys, certificates, trust stores, and related cryptographic assets.
- Work directly with application and infrastructure teams to replace, update, rotate, and validate certificates and SSH keys.
- Identify systems impacted by certificate lifecycle events, root CA migrations, and cryptographic modernization initiatives.
- Track remediation progress, risks, dependencies, and exceptions through completion.
- Support enterprise-wide initiatives related to certificate lifecycle management, trust store updates, and SSH key governance.
- Create operational metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting on remediation status and risk reduction.
- Assist teams in onboarding to approved certificate management and automation solutions.
- Partner with Security, Infrastructure, DevOps, Cloud, and Application teams to reduce manual certificate management processes.
Required Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Information Security, Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration, or Cybersecurity Operations.
- Experience supporting SSL/TLS certificates, SSH keys, trust stores, or cryptographic technologies.
- Experience coordinating technical remediation efforts across multiple teams.
- Experience using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Strong troubleshooting, project coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent remediation efforts and meet established timelines.
