Applicants from all specializations within special education are welcome. A current special education teaching license or certification, or eligibility for one, is required. Classroom teaching experience in special education at the Pre K–12 level is also required as is the ability or documented potential to teach well in both in-person undergraduate and online graduate courses. We strongly encourage candidates with documented record of special education work in public schools; ability to teach in areas that complement and strengthen our current programs; and a Educational Diagnostician Certification.

We offer competitive salaries and a benefits package including health insurance, retirement benefits, and life insurance. Additional pay is available for summer teaching. Financial support for professional development opportunities, such as attending academic conferences, is also provided. Moving expenses are covered in whole or in part by the university.
