Orbital Critical Systems (CAF Group) a leading company in safety‑critical software for aerospace, defence and transport, is looking for IT Operations Engineer – HPE Compute & VMware to join our on‑site teams in Germany, supporting strategic projects with Airbus in Germany.

📍 Locations include Manching, Hamburg, Bremen, Ulm, Donauwörth, Immenstaad and other sites across the country.

What You Will Do

• Manage software provisioning, upgrades and maintenance.
• Ensure infrastructure availability in line with OLA / SLA commitments.
• Monitor system performance and service levels.
• Drive continuous improvement, updates and product lifecycle management.
• Provide 24/7 operational support when required.
• Perform ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration and Event Management.
• Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis and coordinate escalations.
• Oversee backups, disaster recovery and infrastructure reliability initiatives.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Computer Sciences or a related field
• Relevant hands-on experience in VMware vSphere y Nutanix
• B2/C1 English Level – mandatory.
• B12/C1 German Level – mandatory.
• Applicants must hold citizenship of a European country.
