Job Description The Opportunity: LVT People is looking for a Scrummaster for our enterprise and government clients. As a Scrummaster, you will play a critical role in guiding and facilitating the agile process, ensuring that the teams are equipped to deliver high-quality services efficiently. Experience with tools like Jira and Confluence is a must for this role. Responsibilities: Scrum Process facilitation: Facilitate and lead scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives. Ensure that the Scrum framework is followed effectively and all team members understand their roles and responsibilities. Product backlog management: Collaborate with product owners to maintain and prioritize the product backlog. Ensure that user stories and tasks are well-defined, prioritized and estimated appropriately. Team empowerment: Coach and mentor scrum teams on agile principles, values and best practices. Empower teams to self-organise and make decisions collaboratively. Tools proficiency: Utilise tools like Jira and Confluence to support agile processes, track work progress and maintain documentation. Customise workflows, boards and dashboards in Jira to optimise team productivity. Obstacle removal: Identify and address impediments and blockers that hinder the team's progress. Work with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure a smooth development process. Performance metrics: Monitor and report on team performance using relevant agile metrics (e.g. velocity, burn-down charts). Use data to identify areas for improvement and guide decision-making. Continuous improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Facilitate discussions and retrospectives to identify and implement process enhancements. Stakeholder communication: Act as a communication bridge between the development team and stakeholders. Keep stakeholders informed of project progress and address their concerns. Conflict resolution: Mediate conflicts and disagreements within the team to maintain a positive and productive work enviorment. Champion and Collaborate: Champion Agile values and principles throughout the organization and guide teams in their Agile journey. Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to share best practices and contribute to the overall growth of Agile practices within the company. Requirements Selection Criteria Essential Proven experience of 3 years as a Scrum Master, facilitating Agile/Scrum processes for software development teams Proficiency in using Agile project management tools, particularly Jira and Confluence Strong understanding of Agile principles, frameworks, and practices Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills Ability to lead and influence teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and self-improvement A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g. Computer Science, Business, Project Management) Desired Experience working in a government agency, consulting firm or with large enterprise clients Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or other relevant advanced Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or SAFe certifications Experience in Change Management methodologies and practices Knowledge of frameworks for scaling agile, such as SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package.
