About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Gdańsk.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of modern software solutions supporting security and intrusion systems used worldwide. You will be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and application design to implementation, testing, and maintenance.
You will work closely with Systems Engineering, Hardware, Product Management, Cybersecurity, Quality Assurance, Cloud, and Test Engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-quality solutions. Working in an Agile environment, you will have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, collaborate with experienced engineers, and further develop your professional skills.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain modern full stack applications.
- Develop frontend solutions using React and TypeScript.
- Implement backend services and APIs using NestJS and TypeScript.
- Contribute to application architecture and technical design discussions.
- Analyse requirements and propose effective technical solutions.
- Create and maintain technical and project documentation.
- Troubleshoot software issues and identify root causes.
- Work within an Agile software development process.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to specification reviews to ensure software quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with test engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and product quality.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and engineering best practices.
- Support software integration, deployment, and maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional experience in software development as a Full Stack, Frontend, or Backend Developer.
- Practical knowledge of web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and modern web application development principles.
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript.
- Experience developing applications using React.
- Experience developing backend services using NestJS or similar Node.js frameworks.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and client-server architectures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as C# or Python.
- Understanding of application security principles and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience working with Jira and Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with cloud-based solutions and microservice architectures.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and software quality assurance practices.

Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
