Curriculum Overview (About the Role) The ESL program focuses on developing English proficiency through interactive and engaging lessons across kindergarten to middle school levels. • Emphasizes active learning experiences with clearly established objectives • Utilizes provided textbooks and learning materials to structure instruction • Incorporates relevant technology to support teaching and present lessons • Adapts to diverse age groups from 3 to 15 years old • Encourages cultural exchange and global awareness through language education Teachers are equipped with training and resources to deliver high-quality instruction. Position Overview The ESL Teacher plans, prepares, and delivers instructional lessons to students aged 3 to 15 across kindergarten, primary, and middle school levels. This role involves participating in extracurricular events, social activities, and departmental meetings. Teachers work within a supportive network and report to the academic team, with less than 18 teaching hours per week allowing ample time for preparation and professional development. Working Hours • Days: 5 working days per week (specific schedule discussed during placement) • Time schedule: Standard school hours (varies by partner school) • Break details: Less than 18 teaching hours per week with planning time included Class Structure • Class size: Standard class sizes based on school placement • Details: Students aged 3-6 (Kindergarten), 7-13 (Primary), and 13-15 (Middle School) • Teaching team per class: o Lead ESL Teacher o Chinese Co-Teacher o Teaching Assistant (depending on school) Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional lessons that facilitate active learning experiences with clearly established objectives • Utilize provided textbooks and learning materials to structure effective lessons • Be familiar with and use relevant technology to support instruction and present lessons • Participate in extracurricular events, social activities, and teacher departmental meetings as required • Assess student progress and provide feedback to support language development • Collaborate with Chinese co-teachers to enhance student learning outcomes Requirements Requirements • Native level English speaker only • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a relevant subject area • 120-hour TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification required • Above 2 years ESL teaching experience required • Clean health and criminal background to obtain a Chinese work visa • Independent and outgoing personality with a commitment to professional growth • Eligible for legal Z work visa in China Benefits Salary & Benefits • Salary: RMB 22,000 – 24,000/month (pre-tax, social insurance included) • Housing allowance or school accommodation provided • Flight reimbursement: RMB 5,000 – 8,000 • Winter and summer vacations with holiday pay • Fully paid 13 days of Chinese public holidays • Chinese health insurance provided • Legal Z work visa sponsorship and application assistance • Free hotel during the first week after arrival with bank, phone, and apartment logistics assistance • Full training support including interview preparation, pre-job training, observation, and onsite follow-up • Teaching and living support for the entire contract period • Professional development opportunities including iPGCE certification pathway
