You will maintain kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils. Assist and work together with the F&B team to ensure smooth operation of the location. About the role : If you work in a kitchen as a helper, there are a lot duties and tasks you will be required to perform. The working conditions may not be very favorable because the temperatures can be hot and you may have to lift heavy equipment at times. All areas of the kitchen need to be kept clean and sanitized. Kitchen helpers must make sure the kitchen area is well kept and maintained. They also have to work in conjunction with the food service staff. Duties: - Prepare a varie ty of food items for cooking, r etrieve food items from the fridge or freezer - Wash, peel, and/or cut food items, including fruits, vegetables, or certain types of meat - Porti on or wrap food items or dishes, s tore food in containers and in the fridge or freezer - Weigh or measure ingredients (e.g., flour, salt, sugar, oil); r e-fill kitchen condiment bottles and shakers - Stack and store food supplies, equipment, or other utensils in the kitchen - Wipe down kitchen surfaces using proper sanitizers ; c lean any used kitchenware (e.g., knives) or dishes - Mop or sweep the kitchen floor, and collecti ng dirt and debris in a dustpan; Take out trash bags from kitchen. Skills and experience: Male with p revious experience working in a restaurant setting (e.g., dishwasher, bus boy/girl, etc.) is preferred. Manual dexterity. Ability and readiness for repeated and coordinated routine manual work. Ability to follow Health and Safety Procedures. Demonstrated ability to follow verbal instructions and ideas.
