Experience Required:
General Motors is seeking a UKG Configurator to support the configuration, deployment, and continuous improvement of UKG Pro Workforce Management as the enterprise transitions from legacy Kronos timekeeping solutions. This role will translate business and workforce requirements into secure, scalable UKG configurations that enable accurate time capture, scheduling, approvals, accruals, attendance, reporting, and pay outcomes. The role partners closely with Payroll, HR, plant and business leaders, Integration, Data, Security, Testing, and Enterprise Architecture teams across a global implementation. The position is well suited to a systems professional who combines strong UKG configuration expertise with disciplined change management, analytical problem-solving, and effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Configure and maintain UKG Pro WFM pay rules, work rules, pay codes, schedules, accruals, attendance, overtime approvals, business structures, and related workforce-management components.
- Convert approved business, country, plant, union, and compliance requirements into maintainable configuration designs and reusable standards.
- Lead configuration activities across development, test, training, and production environments, including migration, deployment, validation, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Design and execute configuration testing, regression testing, parallel testing, and defect resolution in partnership with business testers and implementation teams.
- Analyze timecards, schedules, accruals, reports, and pay-impacting results to identify root causes, validate outcomes, and protect data quality.
- Support UKG integrations and downstream processes by validating configuration dependencies, source-to-target mappings, interface impacts, and reconciliation results.
- Maintain configuration documentation, decision records, test evidence, operating procedures, and audit-ready change records.
- Participate in release planning, incident and problem management, risk assessment, and continuous improvement for the U KG platform.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to balance standardization with country- and site-specific requirements.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- 5 or more years of experience configuring, implementing, supporting, or administering UKG Pro WFM, UKG Dimensions, Kronos Workforce Central, or a comparable workforce-management platform.
- Demonstrated experience configuring timekeeping capabilities such as pay rules, work rules, pay codes, schedules, accruals, attendance, overtime, or leave.
- Experience with configuration lifecycle management across multiple environments, including requirements analysis, build, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Strong understanding of timekeeping, scheduling, payroll-impacting transactions, workforce data, and related business processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex configuration and data issues using structured analysis, testing, and reconciliation techniques.
- Experience creating clear technical documentation, configuration specifications, test scenarios, and implementation procedures.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and nontechnical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, global program and operate with a high degree of ownership.
