Job Summary

A private entity in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a capable and reliable Landscaper / Garden Maintenance Specialist to take full responsibility for the condition, consistency, and quality of multiple private gardens across different locations.

This is not a routine maintenance role, but a results-driven position requiring strong ownership, independent judgment, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be accountable for maintaining high horticultural and visual standards, ensuring that all gardens reflect a cohesive identity aligned with the entity’s expectations.

Operating in a challenging arid environment, the role demands practical expertise in plant selection, irrigation efficiency, and sustainable landscaping practices. It also requires the ability to manage multiple sites effectively, ensuring consistent outcomes across all properties

Key Responsibilities

1. Ownership of Garden Quality and Standards

• Take full responsibility for the overall condition, appearance, and consistency of all assigned gardens
• Maintain high aesthetic and horticultural standards, ensuring gardens are well-presented at all times
• Identify and proactively address issues affecting plant health, landscape quality, or visual appeal

2. Horticulture and Plant Management

• Select, maintain, and replace plants suitable for arid and semi-arid conditions, ensuring long-term sustainability
• Monitor plant health and implement effective solutions for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
• Ensure seasonal planting and maintenance strategies align with climate conditions and visual objectives

3. Irrigation and Water Efficiency

• Manage and optimize irrigation systems to ensure efficient water use and plant health
• Regularly assess system performance and implement improvements to reduce waste and enhance effectiveness
• Troubleshoot and resolve irrigation issues, coordinating major repairs where required

4. Multi-Site Management and Coordination

• Independently manage work across multiple properties, ensuring consistent standards across all locations
• Plan and prioritize tasks effectively to meet maintenance and presentation requirements
• Coordinate with supervisors or property managers to align on expectations and site-specific needs

5. Landscape Enhancement and Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve garden design, plant composition, and overall aesthetics
• Support the implementation of upgrades and enhancements that elevate the quality and identity of the landscapes
• Contribute ideas that reinforce a distinctive, high-quality landscape standard appropriate for RAK

6. Equipment, Safety, and Resource Management

• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of tools and equipment
• Manage inputs (fertilizers, soil amendments, materials) efficiently and responsibly
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards at all times

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Horticulture, Landscaping, or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in the UAE or similar climates
• Strong knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance in arid environments

Experience and Competencies

• Proven ability to manage multiple sites independently with minimal supervision
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and reliability
• Practical understanding of sustainable landscaping and water-efficient practices
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality outcomes
• Good organizational and time-management skills

Reporting Line

• Reports to the Property Manager
• Coordinates with maintenance teams and other operational staff

Working Conditions and Requirements

• Based in Ras Al Khaimah with multi-site responsibilities
• Valid driving license required (or ability to obtain one)
• Ability to work outdoors in high-temperature environments
