Lead Superintendent — Healthcare / Large Commercial Construction

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Top general contractor is seeking a Lead Superintendent to oversee field operations on large, complex ground-up projects. Ideal candidates will have experience leading healthcare or large commercial projects valued at $200 million or more.

This is a long-term opportunity in the Columbus market. Candidates open to relocating will be considered, with relocation assistance available.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations, overseeing superintendents, subcontractors, and trade partners.
• Manage construction sequencing, site logistics, scheduling, and manpower planning.
• Partner with project management to maintain milestones and resolve field challenges.
• Drive site safety, quality, productivity, and accountability.
• Coordinate structural, architectural, and MEP scopes through commissioning and turnover.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate progress, constraints, and recovery plans.
• Mentor field staff and maintain strong relationships with owners and design teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Lead Superintendent or senior field leader on $200M+ ground-up healthcare or large commercial projects.
• Demonstrated responsibility for overall field execution and oversight of multiple superintendents.
• Strong knowledge of complex construction sequencing, structural systems, building envelopes, and MEP coordination.
• Proven ability to anticipate conflicts, resolve constructability issues, and maintain project schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, and subcontractor management skills.
• Willingness to establish a long-term base in the Columbus, Ohio, region.

Preferred Experience

• Ground-up hospitals, major healthcare campuses, or similarly complex commercial facilities.
• Leadership of large field teams and extensive subcontractor coordination.
• Commissioning, inspections, and owner turnover.
